I think as Manhattanites we can pretty much say that equally, we are always on the go. Even something as simple as ordering your lunch can be a massive hurdle, especially with the long lines at the deli and the confusion of what you want to order and so much more. Luckily, there is a brand new mobile app that just launched this past month in New York City that takes care of all of that, including the place, the food, and the payment, all before you even arrive to your location. This app is called Allset, and it is our hot pick for the month of March on Manhattan Digest.
The concept of this launched only six months ago in a city that I recently visited and wrote about, San Francisco, and now has made its way to the east coast in NYC. According to Operations Manager of Allset, Nora Yakoubian, they had this in mind when positioning their app for potential customers- "We want people to have the freedom to leave their desk for lunch, and enjoy a nice meal at a local restaurant without watching the clock. By using the app you are able to cut out up to 40 minutes of time usually spent waiting, allowing you to arrive, eat, and be ready to leave in under 30 minutes."
Currently, Allset has over 100 partner restaurants that they work with, and are planning to grow that as the months go by. This concept I find to be absolutely fantastic, as I know how frustrating it can be to rush through a break without it really feeling like a break. The name Allset really does ring true with what they are doing, in that everything is done for you upon your arrival to whatever location you want to eat at. Arrive, eat, sit, and enjoy. All with the touch of a button. So simple yet so amazing.
They also just launched their B2B program, Allset for Business, to help employers feed employees with out app. Pretty clever. This is an app you must try. For more information, check out their official site.
