The Meatpacking District in Manhattan, conveniently located a mere avenue away from the ACE line at 14th Street, is one of my favorite parts of the city to peruse.  The amazing fashions, trendy shops, and amazing food are always on point no matter what the season is.  Speaking of food, if you are looking for French cuisine at its best, then Bagatelle NYC is the place to go for taste, quality, elegance, and so much more.  I took a friend there this past Monday night for an experience that left us feeling pretty amazing after we were finished.

Bagatelle has locations all over the world, including Miami, Dubai, and Rio, to name a few, yet there is only one in New York City.  Known for its excellence in French cuisine, Bagatelle's bistro like ambiance radiates throughout its fun and friendly location, with dim lighting after a certain time of night to really get the mood going, especially if you are on a date, something that me and my friend noticed throughout.

Bagatelle is also getting in on the fun of New York Restaurant Week for the first time ever.  They are also celebrating Summer Fridays weekly with specially priced Rosé, Cocktails and French Mediterranean Bites from 2-6pm.  Just for that alone, there are a ton of reasons to go, but of course you are there for the food ultimately, which was absolutely fabulous!

Bagatelle's French cuisine runs the muck when it comes to execution, variety of options available, taste and ultimately execution.  I never thought of ordering a pizza for a location like this, however their Pizza a la Truffle Noire, was visually stunning and appealing and tasted great.  The pizza consisted of black truffle, flat bread, creme fraische and scamoza, served hot, cheesy and delicious.  This is a great starter dish to share or have on your own, as it is filling and very tasty.

They also served us with a platter of their finest seafood, many which can be ordered a la carte.  This included their mouthwatering Shrimp, Ahi Tuna Tartar and Salmon, all perfectly cooked with a dash of lemon to squirt on each.  Definitely a refreshing way to go if you are in a fish kind of food and want something light and tasteful to satisfy your palate.

Bagatelle also has an amazing line of meats for you to choose, albeit Black Angus Bone In Ribeye, Roasted Chicken, and the one that we were served... Filet Mignon with a side of pomme frites.  Topped with a delicious peppercorn sauce, my Filet was sliced perfectly and the blend of the sauce and meat was a great duo.  The pomme frites were tasty as well, and really developed a great duality with the Filet itself.  A great choice for the next time you are in Bagatelle.

They also have an amazing line of desserts available, and is open for brunch (something they are very known for) and lunch as well.  Overall, Bagatelle excels in much of what a restaurant in Manhattan should, and is definitely a place that you should book this weekend!  For more information, check out their official site.
