This past Saturday marked the beginning of the Chinese New Year, which celebrates the Year of the Rooster in 2017! There are so many ways to celebrate this occasion right here in Manhattan, two of which are Asian hotspots CHOP-SHOP, one located at 10th Avenue and the other one on West 24th Street in Chelsea and Flatiron. The eclectic Asian restaurant is ringing in the New Year with a five-course prix fixe meal; chock full of symbolism, good luck and nostalgia for New Year’s past. Available for dinner (Monday - Sunday), the menu is meant to be eaten in pairs and comes with two complimentary glasses of Lychee Spritz or Prosecco for toasting.
Enjoy options such as Pan-fried Pork Dumplings, Steamed Lamb Dumplings, Pork Belly Buns, Long Noodle with shiitake and chives and Penang Vegetable Curry. Plus, every meal ends sweetly with Fried Donuts served with Gelato.
