We here at Manhattan Digest threw a fantastic fundraiser at Gym Sportsbar last weekend and are thrilled with how it turned out! The event took place in the basement area from 6-9 PM, and tons of people came through to enjoy some great happy hour specials, delicious pizza from Adoro Lei, and of course bid on some AMAZING prizes for a great cause!
Overall, we were able to raise a generous amount of money for an organization that is near and dear to my heart- Gay Men's Health Crisis. GMHC is the world’s first and leading provider of HIV/AIDS prevention, care and advocacy. The hope with this fundraiser is that it will at least help one man or woman out in the near future, and I was elated to help raise money for this absolutely amazing organization. I want to thank Gym Sportsbar for hosting this event, as they have done in the past, and the hospitality of their staff was incredible! Also, big thanks again to Adoro Lei for donating some of the most scrumptious pizza pies we have ever tried!
And of course, a HUGE thanks to all the amazing restaurants and companies that donated for this event! All the people who won were (and are) extremely excited with what they won, and I am hopeful that we are able to do this again later this year!
