We have a love for all things pizza here at Manhattan Digest (see here: manhattandigest.com, where is the best pizza slices in new york city), so anytime there is exciting news in this world we get very excited.  Starting today, Jonathan Wu’s clam pizza will be offered at Rossopomodoro within Eataly Flatiron and Downtown. His Clam Pizza will be made with Lap Cheong, Garlic Chives, Clam Cream, Black Beans, Ginger, Garlic, Scallion, Pickled Red Onions, Chili Oil.  I'm salivating at the thought of this.

This special is a part of a larger series taking place, which began in June 2017. The Star Chef Pizza Collaboration Series is a partnership with esteemed chefs to offer exclusive monthly pizza specialties through December. Dave Pasternak from Esca and Bruce Bozzi from The Palm have already been featured. Upcoming participants, in addition to Wu, include Dale Talde of Three Kings Restaurant Group (Talde, Massoni, The Heights, Atlantic Social, The Crown), Josh Russ Tupper from Russ & Daughters, and Einat Admony of Balaboosta, Taim and Bar Bolonat.

We first stopped by Eataly a couple of years ago, which is really an experience in itself.  It is truly one of those "touristy" spots here in Manhattan that is worth the hype in doing so in that it has so many amazing sections within it that you can easily find yourself lost in the experience for a couple of hours.

Rossopomodoro being the pizza partner of Eataly is a very smart move on both ends, and the pizza that Jonathan Wu has created is definitely a scrumptious option for you to try in the month of August.  I like the idea of chefs from all different backgrounds coming together to make their own version of what is beloved so much here in Manhattan.  Can't wait to see what the other chefs have in stores for us leading all the way up to the holidays.

For more information on Rossopomodoro, please check out their official website.
