The holiday season is upon us, meaning travel is inevitable for many of us Manhattanites. Long Island happens to be one of those places that people who reside here call home, meaning that the trips on the LIRR will be happening soon (if they haven’t happened already). Instead of being crammed up during an overnight with your relatives, why not stay at a place all to yourself with amenities galore? Here’s why one of those places should be The Roslyn Hotel in the heart of the beautiful Nassau County town of the same name.
The Roslyn Hotel is situated about 30-35 minutes outside New York City, making it a shorter commute than most of the subway experiences we have to deal with during the week and on the weekends. A quick 5 minute drive from the train station will bring you to this stunning location, which overlooks the breathtaking area that is Roslyn.
This hotel is considered boutique, which is of utmost importance to this particular travel writer as they tend to go the extra mile to ensure you have a great night stay compared to the conglomerate based ones. The Roslyn Hotel did that and then some with the stay that I had recently, and I look forward to doing it all over again sometime soon.
What’s great about the hotel is that you don’t have to go out to have a wonderful time in Roslyn (or the surrounding towns)… it’s all there for you. Whether it’s a comfortable room that will make it hard for you to leave, amenities like free Wifi, a delicious breakfast buffet, library lounge and more… they will make sure that you have a great stay to remember for years to come.
They also have a wonderful new restaurant called 1221 at MFP, which I got to try while I was there. The scrumptious offerings they provided included everything from fresh Burrata to delicious Duck Breast and so much more. Located at the bottom of the Roslyn Hotel, 1221 provides an intimate experience for either just you or another loved one.
