A very important event that takes place annually in New York City is The Christopher & Dana Reeve Magical Evening Gala. The festive gathering brings together some of the biggest stars in the world to raise awareness and money for people who are suffering with spinal cord injuries.
This year’s gala took place at the Sheraton New York Times Square. There was some unfortunate circumstances due to how bad the weather was outside (snow storm), yet everyone appeared to be in good spirits after they made their way inside for the exciting evening ahead.
Several celebrities presented and performed while there, including singer Michelle Williams, CBS This Morning host Gayle King, actors Keith David and Richard Kind, and many, many more.
The Christopher & Dana Reeve Gala, for several years, has also brought up several people to the stage who have won awards for their bravery and courageousness in the face of their spinal cord injuries. Past celebs, including Meryl Streep and Glenn Close, have been part of this very magical evening to honor individuals who are helping those suffering and to those who have the injuries but are going above and beyond their limitations and defying odds.
