Grabbing a hotel in Manhattan does not mean that you need to stay in Times Square. Plenty of other areas of this city have wonderful things to offer should you choose to check in there, one of which is the always hustling and bustling Financial District. The brand new AC Hotel New York Downtown is located directly in it, and the amenities one gets inside will still give you a New York State of Mind and then some.

I always feel like people sleep on the Financial District here in NYC, but it really is a fun place to be. There is so much to see here and do, great places to shop and eat at (especially South Street Seaport) and of course fantastic places to rest your head at night.

Here's where AC Hotel New York Downtown is. Located on Maiden Lane, it is only minutes away from some of the biggest attractions like the Statue of Liberty, World Trade Center and the ferry to Staten Island. It's also very close to several subway lines that will get you to all the other great NYC hotspots in a matter of minutes.

What's fantastic about this spot is that you don't have to leave it in order to have a good time. The hotel just opened up back in October, so it still has that new hotel smell. The buzz and vibe hits you right when you walk into its front entrance, where the customer service goes above and beyond to ensure that you are going to have a great stay.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable that has an edge to it aesthetically and stylistically. Think European meets modern New York City, like Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) just getting back from her dramatic trip to Paris on Sex and the City. OK maybe I'm going overboard, but its a fun space with the great amenities one should receive during any hotel stay (free Wi-Fi, access to Netflix and cable, etc).

They also have an unbelievably delicious eatery located towards the entrance of the building. Here you can get a great kick start to your day by dining on some delicious options for breakfast ad then unwind for later on for dinner. There's a European flare to some of what you'll have on top of the traditional modern American items to choose from. Regardless, they are all tasty.

So if you are looking to crash at a place that is geographically fantastic, beautiful to look at, and great to stay in, then AC Hotel New York Downtown should be a place you should check out.
