Can't make it to New Orleans for Mardi Gras this year? Jersey City's very own Zeppelin Hall has you covered with their absolutely delicious Ragin' Cajun Fest.

Zeppelin Hall is a quick train ride away from New York City and absolutely worth the visit for so many reasons. If you are looking for a sprawling bar setting with out of this world food, then this is the place to be.

Their head chef Franco Robazetti, who was a big winner on Food Network's popular series Chopped last year, expertly created a Cajun menu that will transport you out of this god awful freezing weather we've been having and into the streets and sounds of New Orleans. And no... i am not exaggerating this.

Something that restaurants in the north, particularly the tri-state area, really don't know how to do well is this kind of cuisine (or anything southern, quite frankly). Franco changed my mindset on that by creating plate after plate after plate that executes classic New Orleans dishes to perfection.

This includes everything from Shrimp and Grits, Po Boys, NoLa Crawfish Boil and the dessert staple everyone should try... Beignets. Each bite tasted better than the last, as everything from the taste to the seasoning to the cooking worked well with one another.

The Ragin Cajun Fest at Zeppelin Hall is available for a limited time only, as it will be going on between now and Sunday, March 3. Get there, mangia, and enjoy.
