Happy Memorial Day everyone! A good portion of my fellow Manhattanites are off today which means you can either chill and relax or go out and have a blast all across the city.

There are several iconic Manhattan spots that are going above and beyond to ensure you have a memorable Memorial Day for years to come. So kick back, have a drink, feast on some delicious food and take a look at these spots that are worth trying today.

The Wilson (132 West 27th Street)

Head to The Wilson for a special al fresco Memorial Day brunch party in the sun this weekend. Soak up the sunshine on the open front patio, as you play yard games like cornhole, pingpong, pop-a-shot, and giant jenga. For just $35, enjoy a carafe of rosé or a bucket of beers.  Indulge in delicious Memorial Day summer specials like $1 oysters, the Surf & Turf ($44), Lobster Roll ($23) or the Lobster Plate ($29). Reservations can be made by emailing reservations@ingoodcompany.com.

Hotel Indigo Lower East Side: 171 Ludlow Street

So many will be heading out of city, when really the holiday weekend is the ideal time for a staycation! Hang in the city this year, book a stay at Hotel Indigo LES and take advantage of the quiet-ish streets and plethora of activities you usually might not be able to do. Did someone say priority hotel guest access to the rooftop pool?

Memorial Day Weekend marks the annual opening of the pool at Mr. Purple, the hip bar and lounge on the 15th floor, that boasts awe- inspiring 360-degree views of downtown Manhattan. Invite your coolest crew to join in on the warm-weather festivities, with sweeping city views and a bubbly bottled cocktail in hand.
