Pretty Ricky's is a neighborhood friendly joint in the Lower East Side serving delicious burgers and more tasty treats for you to enjoy. And yes, folks, they are open for delivery just like many other amazing restaurants in New York City now (think local, eat local) amid the growing Coronavirus pandemic.
A juicy combo in a Big Apple restaurant is when you bring relaxed and yummy together. Pretty Ricky's, located at 101 Rivington Street just blocks away from the F&M lines, excels at both by providing their patrons with a wonderfully prepared meal in a chill setting that evokes what the LES is all about.
I was lucky enough to dine there right before all the restaurants in NYC had to shut down and am inching for the day that they open back up again as the food there was that damn good.
There is one dish that I have to rave about as it was an Oscar worthy plate that I could go back for time and time again. Their Miso Glazed Carrots with honey and butter was out of this world good. Carrots happen to be my favorite vegetable and they just smothered them with all the right ingredients that made this a tasty starter dish.
I was also impressed by their burger selections as each were totally mouthwatering. Take the Cheeseburger option above. Fried onions, American cheese and a side of fries. Yum. Perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crunch thanks to said onions. A great example of why sticking it to the classics still does so well in today's day and age.
If you are more on the veggie side then their Portobello Patty Melt (Rye bread, swiss, caramelized onions, caraway aioli) will do the trick. Looks like a burger but tastes like pure yumminess.
