Alain Ducasse’s traditional Parisian bistro, Benoit, will be serving a prix fixe three course brunch for $55 that will take you straight to Paris. Guests have their choice of an appetizer, main course and a decadent treat from the restaurant’s dessert bar. A two-course children’s menu is also available, with a choice of a Croque-Monsieur, Hamburger or Elbow pasta; and Chocolate Mousse for dessert.

Next weekend the Kitano New York, NYC’s only Japanese-owned hotel, will offer “Ikebana Blooms at the Kitano,” a (free!) public Ikebana exhibition highlighting the art of Japanese floral design from Friday, March 25th – Sunday, March 27th. A post-brunch Easter weekend treat, local Ikebana instructor Noritaka Noda will fill the entire lobby with 23 eye-catching creations featuring a variety of peach blossoms, cherry blossom, tulips, hyacinths and anemones. Approximately 550 years ago, Ikebana originated with the Ikenobo family in Kyoto, Japan, as a Buddhist floral offering. Passed down from teacher to student through generations, Ikenobo has spread throughout Japan and around the world. There are now about 50 Ikenobo Ikebana chapters in the USA. NYC’s Ikenobo Ikebana chapter has approximately 120 members, and will be celebrating their 30th Year Anniversary in 2016.
