The 2016 Tony Awards nominations are in, and boy is it going to be a big night for Hamilton!  With 16 nominations total, they have broken the record for most nominations in one year.  Being this year’s “The Book of Mormon”, they are the odds on favorite to win a ton of awards, however there is a bunch of great contenders that are going to give them a run for their money.

Several of the shows that are nominated have been reviewed by Manhattan Digest, which we could not be happier for.  So many great shows from Eclipsed, The Father, and Bright Star (which our quote was featured in their promotional ad that ran on TV!) are up for some of the biggest awards of the night, and ones that we loved when we saw them.  Big Hollywood celebrities like Danielle Brooks, Frank Langella, Jessica Lange and Michelle Williams are all nominated for individual Tony’s, as they gave stellar performances in each of the shows they are in.  The entire list of nominees is below.  For more information on The Tony’s, check out their official site.
