Talk about being a threat in every aspect of the entertainment industry! Model and actress Dorothy Meyers has spent the past three decades honing in on what makes her fabulous by taking over the industry in many different ways.
She has worked alongside some of the biggest names in the game on television and movies including Rachael Ray, Pharrell Williams and Dr. Oz and has also found success in other mediums like in a bunch of popular webseries (take a look at the full experience here). So what kind of shine will this talented woman find in 2020?
Dorothy chatted with us at MD about her desire to enter the business, why she loves Oprah so much (like many of us do) and what the future holds for her.
What was the driving force to you becoming an actress?
Me being such a TV fanatic, I was so passionate about it that I wanted to do it So I kept saying to myself I can do that, I can do that, so I finally started taking acting classes and I never looked back.
Who has been your biggest inspiration in the entertainment world and have you ever had the chance to meet or work with them?
Oprah Winfrey, she’s not afraid of anything. She keeps pushing and pushing. She is a phenomenal person and a genius in everything she creates. I have not met her, yet.
What has been your biggest career goal that you've accomplished so far?
Being on TV is a huge honor, but because I’ve gotten use to it. It will have to be being on that Billboard at Times Square for DOVE Campaign.
You've excelled in so many mediums of the industry from movies to Broadway and being a huge TV personality. Do you prefer one more than others?
Definitely TV.
Tell us about your involvement at the upcoming Impact Magazine event?
I am an invited guess by friend and colleague CEO, Tunisha Brown. I always love to show my support and network as well.
What do you have going on in 2020 that our readers should know?
I will be working in a new movie. I have a supporting role in Luminary Icon, The Mc Sha Rock Story (1st female MC) details coming soon.
