Angel of Harlem is simply put a darn good place to be. Take contemporary American cuisine with Latin & Caribbean flavors and mix it within a fabulous setting and some tunes to dance to and you are guaranteed to have an extremely fun night ahead.

I was first made of aware of Angel of Harlem over three years ago when I lived blocks from that area. A good portion of Manhattan is still living under a rock when it comes to just how amazing the restaurants are in my former town and this space, located on the corner of Frederick Douglass Boulevard and 122nd Street, is the bees knees when it comes to what you should get from an NYC dining experience.

You can't help but be happy the minute you get there. Its a place that breeds sheer joy as its customers always have a happy smile on their face especially with the al fresco dining situation and lovely weather we've been having lately. Friday night's there are popping as a fantastic DJ spins some of the best music from today and yesteryear as you and your pals enjoy the night together.

The insides of it are stunning too and it feel so good to write that as we can finally eat indoors again (safely of course). Its walls are decorated so lovely and fit so well with everything else that Angel of Harlem already presents. There are legit no negatives I can think of with this place, and I haven't even gotten to the food part which is a 10's across the board kind of deal.

As mentioned before, Angel of Harlem takes three different types of cuisines and melds them into something truly spectacular. Their Guava BBQ Wings are hands down some of the best wings I've had in my entire life. They are coated in a zesty remoulade sauce that is nothing short of heavenly.

Angel of Harlem has a wide variety of surf and turf options to enjoy for your entree portion, however if it was up to me, I'd stick with anything that has chicken in it. The Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Mashed Potatoes that come with a rich mushroom sauce is finger licking, lick the freaking plate good.

Save room for dessert as their Tres Leches Cake is the bomb. No dinner plans this weekend. Go to Angel of Harlem. Trust me. Just do it.
