Our favorite delivery app in Manhattan just keeps developing new update after new update to keep their current customers happy and new customers coming through in droves to see what all the fuss is about!  This app is Maple, which is on its way to becoming one of the biggest food apps in the industry, in and out of New York City.  They just announced that they are partnering with red hot chef Mark Ladner next week on a "guest chef takeover".  Also, there is wine available now.  Yay.

James Beard award winner Mark Ladner has quite the resume and bio in the culinary world.  He is the owner of one of the best restaurants in New York City, Del Posto, a place that recently earned a Michelin star, a four star review from The New York Times, Five Diamonds from AAA, and a ton more accolades.  So this is going to be a pretty amazing week for Maple users for what he will be cooking up!

The dishes are as follows, and will be available for customers all this week for dinner!

MONDAY

Chicken Scarpariello

Toasted Fregula, Caramelized Hearts of Fennel, Sauteed Broccolini

Chef Ladner’s take on a classic Italian American dish pairs roasted chicken breast with toasted fregula—think Italian couscous—and tops it with a Scarpariello sauce. The sauce is made of Italian sausage, white wine, hot cherry peppers, and chopped Kalamata olives. Broccolini and caramelized hearts of fennel are served on the side.

TUESDAY

Lemon Shrimp & White Bean Peperonata

Wheatberries, Roasted Cauliflower, Sicilian Condiment

Citrusy, steamed shrimp are served over a peperonata—peh-peh-roh-NAH-ta!—composed of white beans tossed with a tomato-orange marmalade, fennel, and roasted red peppers. Two dishes accompany the main. First, cauliflower florets, roasted with a Sicilian blend of capers, anchovies, toasted almonds, golden raisins, oregano, and rosemary. And second, a simple wheatberry salad.

WEDNESDAY

Goat Cheese Cannelloni

Vegetable Vignarola, Snap Peas, Calabrian Tomato Sauce

Imagine some lovely sheets of pasta. Now imagine them with ricotta, goat cheese, pecorino, creme fraiche, mascarpone, and Swiss Chard. Such is the foundation of Chef Ladner's baked cannelloni, all of which is then combined with a late-Spring vegetable vignarola—artichoke hearts, peas, edamame, pearl onions, carrots, celery, and cauliflower. Finally, these glorious cylinders are fully-realized and covered with a meaty tomato sauce composed of pancetta, beef, pork, and Calabrian peppers. Sugar snap peas on the side, you know, for some vegetables.

THURSDAY

Arctic Char on Lentil Salad

Sauteed Artichokes, Olives & Almonds, Zucchini, Tangerine Vinaigrette.  Ladner Dinner Week comes to a nice clean finish with this Arctic char served over a lentil salad with tangy tangerine vinaigrette. A mix of sauteed artichoke hearts, buttery Castelvetrano olives, and toasted almonds tossed in olive oil, plus a side of sauteed zucchini seasoned with notes of fleur de sel, orange, and fennel all combine for a classic, bright dish.

Maple is also starting to offer a variety of wines to pair with the meal of choosing.  Everything from Cabernet's, Pinot's and more are available for you to enjoy.  Check out more information here: maple.com, drinks.
