New York City just got that much more delicious. &pizza, one of the most unique and flavorful kinds of fast-casual spots in The Big Apple, has just opened up a brand new location in the heart of the Financial District on Wall Street.
With locations in five different states (DC, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia), &pizza is definitely on its way to becoming a place that you will be enjoying hopefully on a weekly if not nightly basis.
I got to experience &pizza for the first time last year when I stopped by their NoMad location right by Penn Station. I was blown away by the ingredients that they used that went beyond the traditional cheese/pepperoni options you would get at a spot like this.
Pizzas that I devoured within 10 to 15 minutes included their American Honey (Spicy tomato, mozzarella, pepperoni, arugula, goat cheese, hot honey, red pepper flakes) and Gnarlic (Garlic ricotta, mozzarella, grilled onion, basil pesto, garlic oil, parmesan). They are cooked to perfection and shaped in a way that is adorable yet fun to look at.
&pizza also has a line of unbelievably tasty drinks for you to enjoy in this miserable weather we've been having. Mango Passion Fruit and Ginger Berry Lemonade are just two of the tasty options they provide that come equipped in a stylish black or white can. Perfect to pair with the pizza you'll be enjoying.
Their new Wall Street location had a line out the door when me and my friend visited a couple of weeks back. It's a perfect spot for &pizza to be, especially at lunch time, given the amount of foot traffic that exists in that area. It is take out only, so if you happen to be visiting or working downtown then this is a spot you'll want to check out.
